The power of the melamine sponge as a stain remover
A melamine sponge is no ordinary cleaning sponge. It's made of a foam structure based on melamine resin. This material acts like ultra-fine sandpaper, but so small that it's invisible to the naked eye. As soon as you wet the sponge, the foam activates and acts as a kind of micro-eraser, literally rubbing dirt off the surface. The great thing is that you usually don't need any cleaning products for this: water is often enough.
